A North Preston native, James McQuaid was raised on Gottingen Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was introduced to hip hop at the age of 12 & started performing at age 16. One half of MC J & Cool G, James McQuade is a Juno nominated artist that has continued to transform his work to connect with the youth of our time. He is a huge supporter of local music and opens his studio to young hip hop artists in Nova Scotia despite living in Montreal.
